The Yamaha Aerox 155 Maxi scooter and R15 M motorcycle will hit the market tomorrow

 Yamaha Motor India is all set to launch its latest Aerox 155 maxi-scooter tomorrow.  This information is made clear in the teaser of the upcoming scooter recently released by the manufacturers.

The company will announce the price of the vehicle at the virtual launch event. The brand will also unveil the new 2021 Yamaha R15 M model tomorrow.

The Yamaha Aerox 155 is the first Maxi scooter from the Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer in the country. The upcoming scooter comes with the same 155cc engine as the R15. The single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine produces 15 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 13.9 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.

The Aerox 155 is more powerful than the Aprilia SXR160 with a 160cc engine that produces 10.9 bhp. The braking system of the new Yamaha Maxi scooter includes single disc and drum brakes on the front and rear axles respectively.

Expect a single channel ABS (anti-lock braking system) standard on the vehicle. The scooter is equipped with 14-inch wheels and 110/80 front and 140/70 section rear tires.

To perform the suspension functions, the new Yamaha 155cc scooter is equipped with telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rdelivery

The new Yamaha 155cc scooter weighs 125 kg and offers a fuel tank capacity of 5.5 liters. The total length, width and height of the scooter are 1980 mm, 700 mm and 1150 mm respectively. It comes with a wheelbase of 1350 mm.

In terms of specifications, the new Yamaha Aerox 155 Maxi-Scooter offers Yamaha's Y-Connect system. It enables customers to connect a smartphone through the app to monitor multiple activities such as mileage, parking location, battery level, fault notifications, and maintenance intervals.

The scooter has a complete digital instrument cluster that includes speedometer, tachometer, fuel level, clock and display more information. The Aerox 155 Maxi Scooter offers a full LED lighting system, traction control system and keyless ignition.

The Yamaha Aerox 155 is the most expensive two-wheeler manufacturer in India. The ex-showroom price of the Maxi-Scooter is expected to be around Rs 1.3 lakh to Rs 1.4 lakh.

The upcoming R15 M is a more premium version of the current R15 model. The brand new model is being launched as part of the expansion of the R15 range in the country. The new R15 M model will be placed at the top of the R15 range, and the bike gets design inspirations from the R7 and the powerful R1M.

Usually Japanese manufacturers use the M Moniker for performance incarnations of normal models, but here the company has not made any improvements in the power and torque of the vehicle.

The Yamaha R15 M motorcycle gets a similar ratio to the R15 V3, and the bike comes with the same 155cc single cylinder liquid-cooled SOHC fuel-injected engine.

The engine unit produces 18 bhp of power and 14 Nm of maximum torque. The VVA-equipped engine is mated to a standard six-speed transmission with a slipper-assisted clutch. It also comes with dual channel ABS.
