No dealership, no service center; How to service Ola electric scooters?

With the advent of Ola Electric, the Indian two-wheeler market is undergoing a revolutionary change.  The company follows a system of online implementation from sales to service.

In other words, these are unheard of events in a vehicle market. Ola recently announced that it has sold scooters worth Rs 1,100 crore in just 48 hours. Does this mean that India has embraced the new system on both sides?

The electric scooter is available in two variants, S1 and S1 Pro. But the next question that confuses everyone is how to service it.

As many scooters soon prepare to share space on public roads, the question arises as to where Ola intends to service the S1 range models. Especially when no specific dedicated dealerships or authorized service centers have been announced for after-sales needs.

In addition to sharing details on where and how to purchase the Ola S1 series scooter, online booking / delivery, the company said on its website that it will also conduct regular maintenance checks and services at the customer's home.

The S1 and S1 Pro are vehicles that combine artificial intelligence.  If the scooter needs service, the scooter itself will send a message to the customer's app using artificial intelligence.  It also frees up customers from traditional schedule maintenance every 3 to 6 months with predictive care.

Ola Electric offers a system where your scooter automatically detects and sends a message to the app when it needs to replace or service any parts. But if customers book the app for the service, an Ola technician will be assigned for the service.

The scooter will then be at the owner's home. The company claims that any type of service can be done at home. But if the problem cannot be solved by itself, the vehicle will come home and pick you up.

After repairing the scooter, Ola will come home and deliver the vehicle again. Ola entered the two-wheeler industry last year by acquiring Ethergo electric scooter makers in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The two-wheeler market in India has changed a lot with the advent of models like Ether, Simple and Ola. There are so many types it's hard to say. The biggest reason behind this is the high fuel prices. At the same time, subsidies such as the Fame II provided by various state governments for such vehicles, which are pollution free, are very helpful.

Since the announcement of Ola's arrival, it can be said that this section has become more awake. The company introduced electric scooters in the market last Independence Day. The company then went on sale online on September 15th.

The purchase window is open for 48 hours from September 15 to 17. During this time, the company sold the first batch of the S1 and S1 Pro electric models. The company has also initiated efforts to develop a range of charging stations across the country to make electric vehicles more practical.

The company has also announced that it will begin delivery of electric scooters in October. When the company launched online bookings in July 2021, Ola Scooter will complete delivery with preference for reserved customers.
