The Taiwanese brand currently has 2,000 battery swapping stations. The company has also made more than 174 million battery transfers so far. It is also noteworthy that Hero MotoCorp is one of the leading investors in Ether Energy, a Bengaluru-based EV start-up.

Official details of the upcoming Hero electric scooter have not yet been revealed, but it is rumoured that the new vehicle will be based on the Gogoro Viva sold in Taiwan. Gogoro Viva is available in two variants, Keyless and Basic.
The model uses a 3kWh electric motor and offers a range of 85 km on full charge. But the range is likely to increase when the hero is renamed and arrives in India. The Gogoro Viva electric scooter comes with a single touch start system powered by an IQ system smart keycard.
