Clearer Spy Shots Of The Royal Enfield Scram Reveal New Details

We expect the bike to be launched by late-2021 at the earliest


Royal Enfield has been working on quite a few upcoming models including the Scram. Last month, its clay model images surfaced on the web and now the test mule has been spotted again.

The latest visuals give a tad bit of a clear look at the instrument console. It seems to be a twin-pod unit with the speedometer (larger dial) on the left and possibly the Tripper navigation on the right. It could very well be the same dials that we first saw on the Meteor 350, which have a clean layout.





Even the spoked wheels are notably smaller than those on the Himalayan. The Scram could possibly roll on a 19-inch front and a 17-inch rear unit. Similar to the previously spotted test mule, even this one doesn’t get any tank brace. However, it does get a luggage rack this time around, suggesting there could possibly be a couple of variants of the bike.

Expect the Scram to borrow the Himalayan’s 411cc long-stroke motor and retain the output figures as well - 24.31PS and 32Nm. The bike might feel a bit more lively as we believe it would be carrying a few kilos lesser than the Himalayan. 

The suspension setup remains unchanged with a front fork and linked monoshock. Disc brakes at both ends provide the stopping power. 

Expect the Royal Enfield Scram to undercut its ADV sibling by Rs 10,000 - 15,000. With its recent price hike, the Himalayan now starts at Rs 2,10,373 (ex-showroom Delhi).
