2021 Apache RR310 first batch sold out; TVS terminates booking

A few weeks ago, manufacturers launched the TVS 2021 Apache RR310.  Another feature of this model is that it is also the brand's trump card in the market.

The ex-showroom price of the upgraded model is Rs 2.59 lakh. It was introduced on an online 'Built to Order' (BTO) platform that allows customers to design their bikes from two performance kits, Dynamic and Race.

The company said at the launch that the version is limited to about 150 units. Now, a few weeks after its launch, TVS has revealed that all orders for the batch have been fully booked and bookings for the Apache 310 BTO are now complete.

With a base price of Rs 2,59,990, the new TVS Apache RR 310 comes with several updates compared to its previous rival. It comes with a new instrument cluster, more cornering clearance, fully adjustable suspension, and a modified exhaust with a razor note.

Standard features such as the TFT instrument cluster have also been updated with a digital document storage system, day trip meter and over speed indicator.

Apache RR310 introduces Dynamic and Race optional kits as part of the TVS built-to-order platform. The dynamic kit includes front and rear adjustable suspension.

These include an adjustable upside-down fork and monoshock for pre-loading and damping. It also adopts a final drive chain with anti-rust brass finish.

The dynamic kit includes race-oriented handlebars and a raised foot peg, both of which are legal on the road, the company said. The 2021 Apache RR 310 Race Kit offers a sporty stand with raised handle bars.

This clip on the handle bars is attached to the rider's more inclined position 8 degrees down and 5 degrees inward, while the high windscreen also provides better wind protection.

If you look at the price of these kits for the Apache RR310, the Dynamic Kit is priced at Rs 12,000 and the Race Kit is priced at Rs 5,000. The new RR310 offers both of these on its customers' online platform. However, these kits can also be used on older bikes.

However, the Race Muffler offered as standard on the 2021 model will only be available for BS VI models. The Race Replica graphics are priced at Rs 4,500 and the red alloy wheels are priced at Rs 1,500. The company has also announced that bookings for the next batch of the Apache 310 BTO will resume from October 1, 2021.

This model is powered by a BS VI standard 313cc engine. This unit produces 34 bhp of maximum power at 9,700 rpm and 27.3 Nm of torque at 7,700 rpm.

The company has added a slipper and assist clutch along with a 6-speed gearbox. The suspension is driven by inverted telescopic forks at the front and a gas-assisted shock absorber at the rear.

For safety, it comes with a 300 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear. Dual channel ABS is also included in the bike. The company also claims that the TVS Apache RR310 will reach a top speed of 160 km/h.

The bike can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 7.17 seconds. It is also the only bike to offer four ride modes: Urban, Track, City and Rain.

City and Rain mode show power and torque up to 25.4 hp and 25 Nm, respectively.  The KTM RC390 and Kawasaki Ninja 300 are the market rivals of the TVS Apache RR310.
