Royal Enfield To Launch 2 New 350cc Bikes; Based On Meteor 350

  Buoyed by excellent response for new Meteor 350, Royal Enfield is now readying two new 350cc motorcycles for the Indian market. The new bikes will share the platform and engine specs with the Meteor 350. One of the upcoming RE 350cc bikes will be the new-generation Classic 350, which has been spotted testing in India. Adding to it, the company is also testing a new 350cc bike which is rumoured to be called the Interceptor 350. 2021 RE Classic 350 The new-gen Royal Enfield Classic 350  is reportedly to be launched in the second quarter of 2021, most probably in April-May. It will be based on the new modular J platform, which underpins the Meteor 350. It will be powered by a new 349cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine with an OHC design. Ever since the launch of 650 Twins, select customers have been waiting for alloys wheels option To ensure that customers have access to all options they might wish for, Royal Enfield will soon be launching alloy wheels for its popular 650 twins, Interceptor and Continental GT. The alloy wheels will be offered as an accessory. 650 twins  currently utilize spoke wheels , which is one of the key design elements that give the motorcycles their retro flavour. Testing and validation In response to an owner of Interceptor 650, Royal Enfield said that they are currently carrying out extensive durability and validation testing for the new cast alloy wheels. Once that is complete and if things progress as per plans, the new alloy wheels could be  launched around February 2021 . It is also to be noted here, that the upcoming Royal Enfield 650 Cruiser, which has been spied on test in Chennai, was seen with alloys wheels. Royal Enfield has endured tremendous success with the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 in the Indian as well as international markets since their debut in late 2018. The homegrown manufacturer is looking to step up the game by expanding its flagship 650 range and the next in line will undoubtedly be a modern cruiser with classic design elements.         Firstly, the 650 cc cruiser will likely be the first Royal Enfield motorcycle to be equipped with upside down front forks but intriguingly it does not have radially mounted brake calipers. The rear fender is noticeably chunkier than the one up front as the motorcycle could ride on 17-inch and 19-inch wheels respectively with black alloys as opposed to the vintage spoked rims.        The KX650 has all the intentions to compete against Kawasaki’s Vulcan S but it will be more affordable.
